Hi All, just a quick update to say that I was interviewed by Tim Muffett from the BBC on Tuesday as part of a feature on the 50th Anniversary of Teletext. I've been insanely busy the past couple of weeks and away from home a lot, so when he got in contact on Monday there was only a very small window (Tuesday lunchtime!) when I would be briefly available. To his credit, Tim jumped on a train to Sudbury and interviewed me in my local pub, The Brewery Tap. Aside from a handful of interview questions I also performed my poem, 'See Facts', which originally aired on the Byte High No Limit Podcast a few months ago, and is in the new book, 'Domesticated Vol 3'.
Anyway, my understanding is that the feature will air this coming Monday (23rd) on BBC Breakfast sometime between 6am and 9.30am. I'm out of the country at the moment and not back for a week, so I won't actually see it (not live anyway).
Please do check it out on Monday morning (or check it on iPlayer later) and if you enjoy it maybe you could find a minute to text or email BBC Breakfast and tell them that. It really would be hugely appreciated. It's an unexpected bit of mainstream exposure that came totally out of the blue and I want to try and make the most of it. If you can help with that, you will have my undying thanks!
Whilst this is all pretty exciting, I'm half dreading it as I'm carrying quite a few extra pounds at the minute (have been for a while, if I'm honest) and they say that TV adds pounds (we'll see I guess). Also, I haven't seen the final edit so I've no idea how the final cut will look...so kinda nervous about that too!
So yeah, do check out BBC Breakfast this coming Monday. I hope you enjoy, and that I haven't made a tit of myself! Haha!
Cheers
James
